1. Gyumri
The ancient settlement of Gyumri has a strong cultural background. Gyumri has long been a city of arts and crafts. The city’s masters have built many wonderful buildings and churches, many of which have survived and reached us. The city is full of statues and monuments, beautiful gardens and parks. Gyumri is one of the unique cities where architects have worked to preserve the unique architecture of Gyumri, based on the architectural styles of Ani and Kars. Gyumri is being rebuilt as a result of the devastating earthquake of 1988 so that pre-century colorful buildings can be found in the city. 2. Dilijan
Dilijan is a town in northern Armenia, in Tavush Region. It’s known for spa resorts and traditional craft workshops. The town is surrounded by the forests of Dilijan National Park. The Geological Museum and Art Gallery displays archaeological finds and international art. North of town, Haghartsin Monastery is a complex of stone churches. East, Goshavank Monastery is known for its intricate khachkars or carved stones. Lake Parz is one of Dilijan’s most attractive natural sites. It is situated in the northern part of the town at a height of 1,400 meters (4,593 feet) above sea level.3. Tsaghkazor
Tsaghkadzor is a spa town and urban municipal community, as well as one of the most popular health resorts in Armenia, located north of the capital Yerevan in the Kotayk Region. Tsaghkadzor literally means a valley of flowers or flower canyon in Armenian. The name of Tsaghkadzor is associated with the name of the nearby Tsaghkunyats Mountains, located to the west of the town. The infrastructure of tourism is highly developed in Tsaghkadzor, with many luxurious hotels, resorts, and amusement facilities. Tsaghkadzor ski resort is located just above the town, at a height of 1750 meters above sea level. It was fully modernized during the 1st decade of the 21st century.4. Tatev
The Tatev Monastery is a 9th-century Armenian Apostolic monastery located on a large basalt plateau near the Tatev village in Syunik Province in southeastern Armenia. The term “Tatev” usually refers to the monastery. The monastic ensemble stands on the edge of a deep gorge of the Vorotan River. The world’s longest reversible cableway (5752 m), recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, is located in Tatev which promotes the development of tourism in the region.5. Garni and Geghard
These two religiously contradictory temples are close to each other so often are referred together. Geghard is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province of Armenia, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs.
The Temple of Garni is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia and the former Soviet Union. Built-in the Ionic order in the village of Garni, Armenia, it is the best-known structure and symbol of pre-Christian Armenia. The monuments both are added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.6. Jermuk
Jermuk is one of the major cities of Vayots Dzor Province, is considered one of the major resort towns in Armenia. It is known for its mineral water springs. Jermuk is a wonderful place for those who love nature and want to feel part of it. It is considered one of the popular destinations for medical tourism in Armenia.7. Lastiver
Lastiver’s caves and waterfalls are Tavush region’s sights, half of which is covered with forests and green areas.
To see these unparalleled corners of Tavush, it is visited by many tourists from abroad as well as from Armenia. The road itself is very interesting and attractive especially for lovers of extreme tourism.
The cave of Lastiver is a two-storied structure which is located in a flat slope of a canyon. There are also some signs that seem as if the author tried to illustrate a wedding. They say that these signs were made during the isolation of the author. That’s why the cave is also known as Lastiver Anapat or Lastiver Desert (“anapat” is translated as “desert”). 8. Khndzoresk
Khndzoresk is a village and rural community in the South-East of Armenia, in the province of Syunik. The village is located to the right of Goris – Stepanakert highway, on the steep slopes of Khor Dzor, from which, according to tradition, it got its name. The slopes of the Lahore valleys, with a few exceptions, are devoid of flat areas for construction. Because of this, the Old Khndzorstkians built slabs and arranged houses on the slopes so that one’s roof often served as a yard for the one built above it. The newly built bridge is leading to Khndzoresk, from which the picturesque gorge can be seen.9. Shaki Waterfall
Shaki Waterfall is a waterfall in Armenia, with a height of 18 m. It is located in Syunik Province. The Shaki Waterfall is situated 6 km from the town of Sisian. On the left side of the river Vorotan’s gorge, basalt lava flows have solidified to form a ledge 18 meters high from which the waterfall cascades down. It is registered in the list of state monuments of nature of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia.

10. Lake Sevan
Lake Sevan is a large, high-altitude lake in eastern Armenia. Lake Sevan is the only lake in Armenia to have beach resorts. Set on a narrow peninsula, the Sevanavank Monastery has 2 stone churches dating to the 9th century. To the south, Hayravank Monastery overlooks the lake from a rocky outcrop. Noratus Cemetery has hundreds of carved stone khachkar memorials. Odzaberd is a ruined fortress built by the Urartian civilization in the 8th century BC.
The water of the lake is suitable for swimming, summer temperature for sunbathing. Various leisure activities are organized, including mountaineering.
