factor.am: In Paris, at the headquarters of UNESCO, a conference and exhibition was held under the title “Nercis Shnorhali. Graceful Angel”.
The opening of an exhibition with the same title was held on the same day. A delegation headed by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andriasyan will also participate in the commemoration ceremony of the famous Armenian medieval thinker Narses Shnorhali, who is included in the UNESCO Calendar of Famous and Important Events 2022-2023.
The ceremony was held with the presence of representatives of Matandarans, the Holy Threshold of Echmiadzin, French scientific circles, the Vatican representative in UNESCO, spiritual fathers of sister churches, prestigious ambassadors in UNESCO, and guests. In this conference, Arayik Khazmalian, the Deputy Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia, Christian Ter Stepanian, the head of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Armenia to UNESCO and the representative of the Vatican to UNESCO, made statements.
This conference was chaired by Armine Melkunian, senior researcher of Matnadaran. During the speech, the speakers appreciated the creative legacy of Shnoorhali, his role in spreading pan-Christian values. After this conference, an exhibition with the same title was held.
