The best time to visit Armenia is from April to October, though winter is good for ski lovers as well.

Where to go?
Gyumri– Gyumri is a cultural capital of Armenia boasting old buildings and churches. The city is sometimes called ”Armenian Italy” due to the style of the streets and houses. It’s a walk-friendly city.
Jermuk– The resort-town is popular among locals and tourists all year round. If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy fresh air, so Jermuk is a great choice especially in the winter time.
Etchmiadzin– Etchmiadzin is a holy city where the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is located. As being the first country having adopted Christianity as a state religion, the town has a great cultural and religious influence.
TRAVEL TIPS
· Museums don’t work on Mondays (check out some exceptions)
· Driving rules are similar to international ones
· Smoking is allowed in public places.
· Discuss the cost of taxi ride in advance not to get overcharged
· Tip is less than in Europe. It’s about 10% in restaurants.
Language and currency
Armenian is the state language though Russian and English are spoken by a big number of locals. The national currency is Drum with both paper notes and coins. 1 euro is about 553 drum while 1 dollar is about 485 drum.
