Birdwatching
Birdwatchers are to visit our contrasting country and to record about 150 bird species, including such specialties as Caspian Snowcock, Alpine Accentor, White-winged Snowfinch, Radde’s Accentor, White-throated Robinwide, Persian Wheatear, White-tailed Lapwing and number of others. Bird observations are supplemented by beautiful scenarios of semi-desert hills, high-mountains, deep canyons and clear lakes. The birding sites often provide additional opportunities for observation of butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, flowers, and sometimes even large mammals, such as Bezoar Goat, Brown Bear, etc.
Brown Bear tracking
A real adventure for nature lovers – an opportunity to track and observe Syrian Brown bears (Ursus arctos syriacus) in the wild, guided by a wildlife expert. One will have a chance to observe not only bears and other animals, such as Bezoar goats (endemic for the region), Eurasian Black vulture, Bearded vulture, Griffon vulture, Egyptian vulture, Golden eagle, Steppe eagle and many other forest and steppe bird species, but also will learn about field methods of bear research, such as tracking with camera traps, field observations, track measurement, etc.

One will be introduced to the Armenia’s rich and diverse flora on its brightest expression – the season of luxuriant growth of plants and their mass flowering. The tour routes cover diverse habitats from semi-desert belt to alpine carpets making the trip enjoyable and interesting to everyone, who loves plants: from professional botanists to amateur plant lovers.
Entomological tours of Garni
The diversity of natural and climatic conditions, the location of the country at the crossroads of different bio-geographical regions, and an active geological record help to explain the presence of more than 12000 species of insects, including about 4000 species of beetles and 2000 species of butterflies, with many endemic species among them.
