YEREVAN-TOURINFO- Jorge Iglesias, Enrique Iglesias’s brother, arrived in Armenia on November 6 to take part in the Silk Note music festival. He told the reporters that World-famous singer and record producer Enrique Iglesias may travel to Armenia in 2020. He added that they have already spoken to Enrique to figure out whether the artist can join the 2020 edition of the festival.
According to Jorge Iglesias, whose company, Berin Iglesias Art, is opening a chapter in Armenia to try to introduce Armenian artists to audiences abroad and bring international performers to Armenia.
The Berin Iglesias Art Company has branches in 15 countries around the world, such as Monaco, London, Moscow, Minsk, Dubai, Tashkent, Madrid, Miami, and holds over 200 concerts annually in the most prestigious concert halls of the world.
World-renowned Spanish singer Julio Iglesias (Enrique’s father) also gave a solo concert in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan on March 18, 2013.
When he was in Yerevan, he told the reporters that he is happy for coming to Armenia and added: “I’m going to sing here with great love and that’s why today I ham here. I do not have many years left to live and I am happy that I am in my friends’ country”. Grammy award-winning singer though visited Armenia for the first time but admitted that his visit was not the motive to “make” him recognize Armenia. The Spanish singer had noticed something melancholic in Armenian people’s eyes and look.
“The first impression that I got from Armenia is what nice people Armenians are. When they saw me off from Moscow yesterday I was told that I was going to a hot country, not because of the hot weather here, but because of the hot temperament and warm attitude of Armenians”,- Iglesias said.
