TOURINFO-YEREVAN- From August 22 to September 1, Armenia will host the 7th Fresco International Festival of Contemporary Art and Spiritual Films. Fresco seeks to promote universal values through spiritual and cultural dialogue.

The opening ceremony of Fresco will take place in the beautiful Armenian border town in the Province of Tavush, Berd, with an open-air solo concert by the Berd Dance Ensemble, followed by screenings of international films.

For 11 days “Fresco” will create a real holiday strictly followed by the national coronavirus safety guidelines.

The aim of the festival is to promote humanitarian values through spiritual and cultural dialogue.

The Yerevan program of the festival will start on August 24 and will continue until September 1 in the heart of Yerevan, on Abovyan Street between St. Anna and St. In the vicinity of the Catholic church area.

The program will include movie screenings-discussions, concert programs, and online meetings.

Concerts expected during the festival: on August 28, a solo concert of the State Dance Ensemble of Armenia, on August 29, a jubilee concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Ruben Hakhverdyan, on August 30, Jivan Gasparyan and friends.

63 films from 23 countries have been selected from more than 3000 applications from 85 countries.

The competition program includes films whose messages are humanity, patriotism, a healthy lifestyle, and other universal values.

The festival is held with the blessing of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports and sponsored by the Armenian Round Table Foundation.
