On September 6-8, Yerevan will host the World Tourism Investment Forum, which is organized by the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Armenia in cooperation with the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Sisyan Boghosyan, head of the tourism committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, said in a press conference: “The main goal of this forum is to present the trends and challenges of investment in the field of tourism at the global level after the pandemic.”
The World Tourism Investment Forum is planned with the participation of member countries of the United Nations Shanghai Cooperation Organization, officials of the tourism sector of other foreign countries, foreign and domestic investors, international organizations, and public and private sectors. Sona Hovanisian, head of the International Cooperation Department of the Tourism Committee, stated that 150 people from different countries of America, UAE, European countries, Senegal, Bahrain, Algeria, Moldova, and Iran are expected to participate, and said: Embassies of different countries are active in Armenia will also have active participation.
In the framework of this forum, cultural and social events are also considered in order to present the potential and tourist attractions of Armenia. Anna Margarian, the Public Relations Officer of the Tourism Committee, informed us about the tourism planning aimed at discovering Armenia for the guests. Special tours are arranged for them. Culture, tourism and wine tourism are offered in separate tours.
