Arax News: “Zhanna Andriasian”, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, received Mehdi Sobhani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Yerevan.
Jana Andriasian, while congratulating Mr. Sobhani on the occasion of assuming the position of the embassy, ​​expressed hope that he will contribute to the continuous development of relations between Armenia and Iran and the expansion of beneficial bilateral cooperation with his diplomatic activities.
Andrasian further emphasized the readiness of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia to support the development and deepening of friendly relations between Armenia and Iran in the fields of education, science, culture, sports and youth.
In this regard, he especially on the will of the Armenian side in implementing the draft memorandum of understanding between the two countries “in the field of cooperation between the government of the Republic of Armenia and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of education for the years 2023 to 2027”, based on which a number of joint projects between the two countries It has been predicted in different fields.
Mehdi Sobhani, in his turn, emphasized the importance of Persian language education in public schools of the Republic of Armenia in the framework of regional language education.
The parties also pointed to bilateral measures that should be taken in the field of higher education. It was suggested to create technical working groups and prepare a road map for the development of inter-university cooperation.
The Minister of Education and Science of Armenia emphasized the importance of implementing the Farsi language teacher training program in the universities and schools of the Republic of Armenia by Iranian colleagues.
In this meeting, the issue of possible cooperation in scientific, cultural and sports fields was discussed and investigated in the framework of exchanging experiences and implementing joint projects.
In the continuation of this meeting, a number of other topics of interest were discussed.
