Armenpress. Movies and TV series are filmed in Armenia for Netflix. Sisak Gabrielyan, deputy of the “Civil Agreement” faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
He wrote: As I expected, the recent changes in the cinema law have made Armenia attractive for film production. Today, we signed a memorandum of cooperation with the representative of the famous German actor, cinema producer Till Schweiger in the Ministry of Education and Culture. In total, three films “Under the Dog”, “Dead by Dawn”, “Collapse” (8-episode Netflix movie) are filmed in Armenia. The shooting of this movie is going to start at the beginning of this year. This will be the first real application of the new law.
Let me remind you. If the set norms are met, the government will return 10-40% of the invested amount to the filmmakers. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports will publish the terms and conditions of products, services and their use in the coming days.
According to experts, the location of our country is perfect for filming. In almost all seasons of the year, you can simultaneously have snowy mountains and asphalt melting from heat, buildings and streets from beautiful weather, and deserted and uninhabited villages and factories.
