Hamedan Cultural Week (18th of February) is organized by the cultural consultation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Hamedan province in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
According to the Shabestan news agency, citing the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communications, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, at the same time as the days of Fajr Decade and Iran’s National Day, Hamadan Cultural Week (18th of Bahman) was organized by the cultural consultation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Administration The entire cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism of Hamadan province will be held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
In the opening ceremony of Hamedan cultural week in Armenia, Sobhani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, General Director of Cultural Heritage of Hamedan province and accompanying delegation and some officials of Armenian tourism and culture and Iranians living in Yerevan and the Armenian cultural and artistic community will be present.
With the aim of introducing the cultural and artistic capacities of Hamedan province, an exhibition of the artistic and handicraft capabilities of Hamedan’s master artists will be held (18 to 27 February) in the hall of the Blue Mosque, and the artists will introduce Hamedan’s handicrafts, including leather, pottery and pearl weaving.
The traditional music group “Ayin” from Hamedan province is present in this cultural week and will perform in places such as the University of Arts of Armenia, the University of Sloaney and the National Library, as well as Shahid Fahmideh Educational Complex.
Ayan Azami music group from the Islamic Republic of Iran will perform at the National Day ceremony in Yerevan on February 20 and will perform music in Qapan city on February 21.
Naqali performance is one of the other programs of the Hamedan cultural week in Armenia, which will tell the story of parts of the Shahnameh for the audience.
According to Mohammad Esadimouhed, the cultural consultant of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Armenia, introducing the cultural and artistic capacities of the country’s provinces in order to develop the culture economy is one of the programs emphasized by this consultation, and it is hoped that next year we will be able to have the cultural week of several other provinces in Armenia.
