TOURINFO-August 7, 2024-On August 10 and 11, 2024, the 6th annual “TARAZfest” will take place in Victory Park, Yerevan. This vibrant urban tourism festival aims to celebrate and promote Armenian culture, traditions, and national attire, offering a rich cultural experience for both locals and visitors.

Festival Highlights

Artisans and participants from across Armenia, Yerevan, and Artsakh will showcase their talents, alongside representatives from embassies, cultural centers of ethnic minorities, museums, and companies featuring Armenian products.

Part One: Daytime Activities

  • Exhibition-Sale: Unique handmade items and traditional crafts will be available for exploration and purchase.
  • Young Designers’ Collection Competition: Innovative designs inspired by Armenian heritage will be showcased.
  • National Games: Traditional Armenian games and activities will be featured.
  • Educational Entertainment Programs: Interactive and educational experiences for all ages will be offered.

Part Two: Evening Showcase

  • National Clothes Exhibition: A modern presentation of traditional Armenian clothing will be displayed.
  • Teryan Cultural Center Collections: Exclusive collections from the renowned Teryan Cultural Center will be shown.
  • Local and International Designers: Contemporary designs featuring Armenian ornaments and carpet patterns will be highlighted, accompanied by live music.

Cultural Performances

Throughout the festival, traditional Armenian song and dance ensembles, as well as acts representing ethnic minorities, will perform, ensuring a lively and festive atmosphere.

The festival is supported by the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia and in partnership with “Victory Park” LLC. The event is organized by the “Teryan Cultural Center” NGO, the originators of the “TARAZfest” festival.
