Akbar Babaei, head of Iran’s National Research Institute, announced on July 24 that according to Article 15 of the Iranian Constitution, only Armenians have the right to be educated in their mother tongue. He also added that the article related to the teaching of local languages ​​in the above article was misunderstood and only refers to Armenians, not Turks.
The publication of the news of the opening of the Department of Armenian Language and Literature at the University has sparked outrage in the Turkish press. It was interpreted as follows: Iran does not allow Azerbaijanis and Kashka Turks living in the south to be educated in their own language, but opens a department of Armenian language and literature in Azad Islamic University.
It can also be seen that the proximity of Armenia and Iran is against Azerbaijan. And it is still on the agenda.
